An Introduction to Breaking, History & Culture

Joshua’s current focus is youth breaking mentorship and building community through jams, guided by the belief that nobody should have to pay to be part of the breaking community. In his workshop, he will introduce dancers to the history and cultural context of breaking while exploring foundational movement, musicality, personal style, battles, and cyphers.

SADIE JANE
Creative Director
Beginner Hip Hop Foundations
Sadie Jane Reppucci is the founder and director of the North Coast Hip Hop Dance Convention and the owner of Sadie Jane Dance Complex. A dancer since the age of three and an instructor for nearly a decade, Sadie Jane has built her career around creating spaces where dancers of all ages and backgrounds can show up, take risks, and feel like they belong.
Her movement background spans Hip-Hop, Heels, Contemporary, Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre, and Ballet, but her work extends far beyond choreography. Sadie Jane is a community builder, creative director, and relentless advocate for accessible adult dance education in Maine.
She created the North Coast Hip Hop Dance Convention to bring world-class artists, local dancers, and the wider community together for something Maine needed: a full-day experience rooted in movement, education, connection, and respect for Hip-Hop culture. The convention celebrates the culture’s foundations while giving dancers the opportunity to learn directly from artists who live, breathe, and contribute to it.
Sadie Jane leads with equal parts heart, grit, and unapologetic ambition. She is not waiting for space to be made. She is building it.

Originally from Camden, Maine, Adrian brings an energetic and uplifting approach to dance. He believes movement is a powerful tool for self-love, confidence, and authentic self-expression, and is passionate about creating spaces where dancers of all experience levels can learn, connect, and grow together.
